Admissions
As an elementary school of the Diocese of Santa Rosa, St. Helena Catholic School's purpose is to form students in Christian living through a curriculum integrated with the teachings of Christ and Gospel values, administered by a dedicated and professional staff of Christian men and women. We offer a strong standards based academic curriculum with additional enrichment educational programs. St. Helena Catholic School mindful of its mission to be witness to the love of Christ for all, admits students of any race, color, and national and/or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded to or made available to students on the basis of race, color, and national and/or ethnic origin, age, sex or disability in administration of educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Submit an application with the $25.00 non-refundable application fee. Applications for kindergarten will be mailed out after the beginning of the calendar year. Applications for 1st-8th grades are accepted throughout the year.
All students and families will be interviewed and will be asked to provide references. They shall be active participants in the Christian Community and/or school. All students must qualify under other criterion according to grade level. Kindergarten students mustbe five (5) years old by December 1st.
The priority of admission of these families is:
1. Baptized siblings of current students.
2. Baptized children of Alumni who are registered and active in one of the three Catholic Community parishes.
3. Baptized children of registered and active parishioners of St. Helena Parish.
4. Baptized children of registered and active parishioners of Our Lady of Perpetual Help or St. Joan of Arc.
5. Baptized Catholic students not registered in any of the three community parishes.
6. Baptized students of other faiths.
A deadline for applications for Kindergarten will be set and advertised each year.
